gilmore girls fans?

what's the verdict here on the new show from abc family

i'm sure you've heard it's been created by amy sherman-palladino,
the creator of gilmore girls.

i'm personally a huge gilmore girls fan, i can quote any episode, i dare you to challenge me.

and while it has been off the air for nearly five years, i still watch them every night (literally, just ask nicole.)

bunheads is yes, basically a copy of gilmore girls.
emily is in there plus michelle is basically a dancing lorelai. they have the similar relationship too.
same music in the background,
same old small town,

plus you get little tastes of old gilmore girls characters like gypsy, zach, mitchum huntzberger, and jason, very surprising.

but the draw to it,
the same humor.

my favorite part of gilmore girls, the witty quick banter and the slowly escalating drama that doesn't jerk you around like every other drama show.


my opinion you ask?


i enjoy it.
like i said, it's the humor that gets me.
it's a copy, granted i definitely don't like it more than gilmore girls, but considering it comes from the same person, i really don't mind it.
she knew she had something great that people loved and still love to this day,
so she decided to give us a little bit more.

kudos.

apartment therapy

since i've decided to move out this fall

(woot!)

i've had to stock up on various home items.

i'll admit, i wanted to buy everything adorable but it isn't in my budget.

we rented bikes, and biked down the boardwalk to balboa island

which was super fun.
and pretty,

and ate a balboa bar while at balboa beach

and then we did some parkouring

later robsten.

yeah so, good going k-stew,

you weren't very well-liked in the first place
now you've made it worse.

and i think will ferrell is the most torn up about it.

confession #13

i really like watching the olympic swimming just to see ryan lochte's face.

face it, the man's got on heckuvah jaw.

i seriously cannot get enough of this song.

california love {day three}

on the third day,

we decided to be those artsy type people and go to the sawdust art festival

i felt so cultured
i also bought this adorable shirt from this lady

then later that night we went to a little less cultured of a place...

angel stadium.

i ate a classic ballpark hot dog,

and even though they lost, it was super awesome.

i still have plenty of stuff left in my shop
